When a poor toy-maker's son Hansel and daughter Gretel are abandoned in the woods by their wicked stepmother, they must use their resourcefulness and creativity to survive, outsmarting a candy-witch and escaping her oven, ultimately returning home to their loving father and finding wealth and happiness.
