When Steve Malone, an Environmental Protection Agency agent, and his family move to a military base in Alabama, they're unaware that the surrounding ecological system has been contaminated by toxic military actions, causing Marti, his teenage daughter, to be threatened by a duplicate emerging from giant pods, forcing her to fight for humanity alongside Tim, the helicopter pilot, as they try to escape the invasion.
