When war breaks out in Bosnia, Serbian engineer Luka's world shatters as his son Miloš is taken prisoner and his wife Jadranka disappears, forcing him to form an unlikely bond with Sabaha, a Bosnian Muslim hostage, which ultimately leads to their escape on the mule.
