When recently widowed and grief-stricken Vietnam veteran Larry 'Doc' Shepherd sets out to collect the body of his fallen son, he's accompanied on an emotional journey by old comrades Sal Nealon and Reverend Richard Mueller, as they confront their past traumas and find solace in each other's company.
